Frequently asked questions

Teeth whitening is a safe and effective way to whiten your teeth by removing stain deep in the tooth with professional use only gel and an LED activating light.
Absolutely. We use high quality whitening gels that are safe when used by registered dental practitioners. Whitening does not change the structure of the tooth or damage it. It just removes stain molecules from inside and allows the tooth to shine brighter.
You will notice results immediately. Results may vary depending on how much and what type of stain is in your tooth. Our in-chair treatment is backed up by our at home kit which you will use to boost your results.
Most people experience no discomfort however transient sensitivity may occur for up to 24 hours and is managed with over the counter pain relief, sensitive toothpaste and the desensitising gel provided with treatment.
With good oral hygiene and regular professional cleans it should stay bright for several months to a year. Regular at home treatments with your included take-home kit is recommended and yearly in chair sessions.
Teeth whitening will only work on natural teeth. If there is a colour mismatch after whitening that bothers you we will refer you to our dentists to look at matching the colour.
Easy! Just call us, email, or ask next time you are in the clinic. Our friendly team will advise you on all you need to do to get your brightest smile yet.
We can provide you with a cost estimate with treatment item numbers, and process on the spot HICAPS claims for immediate health fund rebates. The benefits you can claim will depend on the coverage provided by your health fund.
