Orthodontics
Dr Daniel Yang holds a postgraduate diploma in Clinical Orthodontics from the City of London Dental School and has a special interest in non-extraction orthodontics and clear aligner therapy. This means many patients who have been told they need teeth removed for braces may have alternatives available to them.

Frequently asked questions
Am I too old for orthodontic treatment?
No. Adults make up a significant proportion of orthodontic patients. Teeth can be moved at any age, provided your gums and bone are healthy. Invisalign is particularly popular with adults who want a discreet option that fits around their professional and social lives.
How long does Invisalign take?
Treatment time depends on the complexity of your case. Simple cases may be complete in six to twelve months. More comprehensive treatment typically takes twelve to twenty-four months. We’ll give you a realistic timeline at your consultation based on your specific teeth and bite.
Is Invisalign as effective as braces?
For the majority of cases, yes. Advances in Invisalign technology over the past decade mean it can now treat a wide range of complex cases that were previously only manageable with braces. Your suitability for Invisalign will be assessed during your consultation.
What is the difference between Invisalign Express and Comprehensive?
Invisalign Express is a shorter, simpler treatment for minor tooth movement. Invisalign Comprehensive is a full course of treatment for more significant alignment and bite issues. There are also intermediate options. The right choice depends entirely on your specific case.
Does orthodontic treatment hurt?
Some mild pressure or discomfort when starting a new aligner set or after an adjustment is normal — this is a sign your teeth are moving. This usually settles within a few days. Over-the-counter pain relief can help if needed.
Will I need to wear retainers forever?
Teeth have a natural tendency to shift back over time, so retainers are recommended long-term — typically worn nightly. This is a small commitment to protect a significant investment. We provide clear retainer instructions and check your retention at ongoing appointments.
