Serving Our Community

The Farm in Galong is a not-for-profit charity in country NSW that supports women recovering from alcohol and other drug dependence. Set on a quiet rural property, the Farm gives residents the space to heal, rebuild healthy routines and reconnect with family, underpinned by the belief that whatever has been lost in a person’s life can be restored.

Each month, we welcome residents of the Farm into our clinic and provide complimentary dental care. For many, it’s a chance to address oral health that may have gone unattended for some time, and to feel genuinely looked after as part of getting back on their feet. We’re privileged to play a small part in their recovery.

Yass Valley Aged Care is a fully accredited provider of residential aged care and Support at Home services, delivering excellence in care to residents, their families and the wider community.

We know that getting to a dental clinic isn’t always easy for older members of our community, particularly where mobility is limited. To help bridge that gap, we’ve donated a dental chair to the facility so that care can be delivered on site, in familiar and comfortable surroundings. Our oral health therapist(s) visit regularly to provide treatment, helping residents maintain their oral health and comfort without the stress of travel.
